We need you!

We need someone to be our Treasurer and someone to be Membership person in 2022. Must be member of our Branch and be willing to use OGS Email system to keep information secure. We have approximately 5 Council meetings a year which can be attended via Zoom when needed.

Treasurer would need to go to our bank in Huron Co and make deposits, write out cheques and get them co-signed, pay bills, make draft budgets and submit accounting to OGS on quarterly and annual basis.

Membership person can do this job from anywhere. It involves tracking membership, Items of interest sent out to membership is via Mail Chimp system which requires updating with new members.

Huron County Branch is fortunate to have over 200 members.Of those members, about 18% live in Huron County. We depend on those living close by to be on Executive and to organize meetings and events. No matter where you live, there are ways to help. Contact the Chair if you can help huronchair@ogs.on.ca

  • helping with events (once we are back to public events) – we always need help with set up, greeting, clean up, etc.
  • volunteering in Library – we need people to keep the library open
