Reuben R. Sallows was a Goderich photographer who created iconic images from 1881 until his death in 1937. He captured images of people and places in and around Goderich giving us a glimpse into our past and way of life.
Colleen Maguire has been working with Sallows’ photographs for years researching his life and authored the book Moments in Time: A Year-by-Year Look at the Life of R.R. Sallows. By studying logos, studio furniture, props, and backgrounds, combined with her knowledge of fashion over the decades, she could date these photographs accurately. Colleen is the Chair of the Board and resident expert with R.R. Sallows Gallery in Goderich.
