Rev. Jeff Hawkins is a United Church Minister who came to Howick Township in 1988 with his first pastorate at the Gorrie United Church. He has a B.A. in History and while doing some research in his home area of Chatham discovered some Black families who came to Buxton as escaped slaves had moved to Wellington County then Howick township in Huron. An informative speaker with some great stories.
